Gripset RD

Elastomeric, UV stable acrylic membrane.

Gripset RD is an elastomeric acrylic membrane designed for use over exterior substrates for long-term protection against UV degradation and harsh climatic conditions. It is suitable for exposed areas, facades, parapet walls, graded light-trafficable floors, box gutters, and roof surfaces.

Features & Benefits

• Water-based, free of solvents, non-toxic and non-flammable
• Weatherproof coating able to withstand extreme climatic conditions (cold and hot temperatures)
• Elastomeric and flexible. Ability to bridge cracks up to 3mm
• Resistant to fungi and algae growth, particularly in humid and tropical conditions
• Resistant to salt and carbon attack
• Durable and tough. Tensile strength can be enhanced by incorporating Gripset RF Fabric.
• Compatible with other Gripset membranes
• Can be tinted to desired colour

Gripset RD is suitable for commercial, industrial and residential applications.

Waterproofing Uses

• Metal and concrete roofs (new & existing)
• Parapet walls
• Exterior protective coating for high-build roof systems (used over other Gripset membranes in low-traffic areas)
• Box gutters
• Vertical walls, facades and silos
• General surfaces exposed to weather

Substrates

Substrates suitable for bonding Gripset RD over include:

• Concrete, render and masonry
• Fibre cement, plasterboard and structural sheeting
• Wet area timber sheeting
• Clay and concrete blocks/bricks
• Asbestos
• Asphalt
• Treated metals (not raw steel)
• Other Gripset membranes
