DeVilbiss Valuair Cartridge Mask
Description
The DeVilbiss Valuair is a lightweight, dual cartridge, half-mask respirator designed to provide effective protection in bodyshop environments. It is moulded from a silicone-free thermoplastic elastomer, offering an exceptionally comfortable facial seal and a low nosepiece for easy vision. The mask features low breathing resistance and uses bayonet-style fitting for the cartridges, which click into place to indicate secure attachment. Pre-filters are available to extend the service life of the primary filter, and the elasticated head strap and moulded cradle make it comfortable and easy to use.
Applications
The Valuair mask, equipped with A2 filter cartridges, is used against organic vapours with boiling points above 65°C. It can be utilised in areas of contamination up to 10 times the Occupational Exposure Levels set by the Health and Safety Executive. This makes it suitable for applying cellulose paints, primers, lacquers, and varnishes. However, it is not recommended for use with isocyanate materials, where an air-fed visor should be used.
